AVORIAZ, A FASHIONABLE RESORT
Avoriaz is a paradise for winter sports lovers, and is perfect for alpine and cross-country skiing from December until May. The Portes du Soleil ski area is ideal for snowboarders and skiers alike, featuring over 400 miles of beautiful runs criss-crossing the Franco-Swiss border, as well as a challenging snow park.
The resort also has a strong sense of tradition and organises two large events every year: "La Grande Odyssée", a 300-mile husky expedition and "L'Avoriaz Jazz Cabaret", a week of concerts in some of the resort's hippest spots.
