Spain : New Property investment hotspot

Published on 01/21/2015

Spain tipped as 2015 property hotspot

A sunny location can seem like a very attractive option for a UK property investor. What's even more surprising in the current market is the fact that Spain has been named as the property hotspot for 2015, with Valencia and Madrid coming to the fore as the European market continues to recover.

Investing in overseas property

A member of an independent international agency spoke to Propertywire about the boom prospects for 2015, noting that easy accessibility to the other major Spanish cities has made the region “a target for opportunistic overseas property investors”. A major tourist destination, Madrid property sales have risen nearly 20 per-cent over the last 12 months. With the damage inflicted by the dual collapse of the financial sector and property market is repaired, the surrounding areas have also seen their first increase since 2007. Valencia, on the other hand, has seen a surge of almost 30 per-cent in the same period, aided in no small part by a €4 million capital investment by the Spanish government.

Buy-to-let properties in tourist destinations

A successful investor is always aware of the unique potential in any purchase and these Spanish destinations, according to one industry insider, offer a UK property investor three key benefits: “value for money, an excellent quality of life and a safe long-term investment.” Indeed, by taking the advice of a market leader, such as Pierre & Vacances Property Investment, a fully informed decision can be made, based on a long-term goal.
